Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This policy explains what information Ampla Inc. ("Ampla", "we", "us") collects through amp.la and its job boards, career help and employer services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers two groups: candidates (people looking for work or using career help) and employers (companies and people hiring, or who may hire, through us).
1. Information we collect
From candidates
- What you give us: name, email, phone, the field and role you are interested in, your resume and cover letter, job links or job descriptions you paste or upload, portfolio, reel or LinkedIn links, and anything you write in a form.
- What is in your resume: work history, employers, titles, dates, education, licenses and certifications, skills, location and similar details.
- What we create: AI-generated reviews and clean resumes, a structured profile built from your resume, match notes about roles you may fit, and our own notes about you.
- Payment status for paid services. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor through a secure payment link. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
From employers
- What you give us: your name, company, position, work email, phone, account password (stored only as a secure hash), and job details you submit.
- Company information from public sources and from candidates' resumes, such as a company's name, website and field, and the fact that people in our database have worked there.
- Our notes about our relationship with your company.
Collected automatically
- Basic technical data our host and security tools collect when you visit, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam on our forms.
- We do not use advertising trackers.
People we add ourselves
We may add candidates or companies we learn about through referrals, events or public professional sources. These records are marked as "sourced" in our systems, and we ask a candidate before sharing their information with any employer.
2. How we use information
- To run our services: review resumes, create clean resumes, process requests, answer questions, and send the emails you ask for.
- To match candidates with roles we recruit for now and in the future, including roles that open after you contact us.
- To recruit: contact candidates about roles, and present a candidate to an employer only with the candidate's OK.
- To build and keep a searchable database of candidates and of companies that may hire through us, and to contact companies about our recruiting services (business development).
- To keep our services safe, prevent spam and fraud, and meet legal obligations.
- To improve our services.
AI tools. We use AI services (currently Anthropic's Claude) to read resumes and job descriptions, write first-pass reviews and clean resumes, build profiles and suggest matches. The AI provider processes the content only to return results to us, under its commercial terms. AI output can be wrong. A free first pass is labeled as AI generated.
We do not make hiring decisions. Employers do. Our matching only helps us decide who to talk to.
3. How we share information
- With employers, only with your OK. We share a candidate's resume or details with an employer only after the candidate agrees.
- We do not share a candidate's work history with companies we approach. The fact that a candidate worked at a company stays inside Ampla.
- Service providers who run parts of our business for us, under contract and only for that purpose: website hosting and storage (Netlify), email delivery (Resend), security (Cloudflare), AI processing (Anthropic), payment processing and email (Google Workspace).
- Business transfers. If Ampla is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of its business or assets, the information we hold, including candidate and company databases, may be transferred to the buyer or successor as part of that deal. The successor will be bound by this policy for information collected under it, unless you agree otherwise.
- Legal reasons: to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, or enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
4. How long we keep information
We keep candidate and employer information until you ask us to delete it, or until we decide we no longer need it. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it (for example, payment records) or to resolve disputes. When you ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in backups and email archives are deleted as those age out.
5. Your choices and rights
Anyone can email info@amp.la to:
- ask what information we hold about you and get a copy,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- stop us from contacting you about roles or our services, or
- withdraw your OK to be presented to employers.
We will confirm your request came from you (usually by replying to the email address we have on file) and respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for making a request.
California residents. Depending on whether the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you may have the rights to know, delete, correct and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We honor these requests from anyone, whether or not the law requires it. You can use an authorized agent. See section 3: we do not sell or share personal information.
Florida residents. We honor the same access, correction and deletion requests.
Marketing email. Every marketing or business-development email we send includes a way to unsubscribe and our mailing address. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
6. Sensitive information
Please don't include your Social Security number, date of birth, health information, or details about race, religion, disability or immigration status in your resume or forms. We don't need them. Licenses you list (for example, a clinical license) are kept as professional credentials.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access limited to the Ampla team, password-protected admin tools and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Children
Our services are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top, and for material changes we will give notice on the site or by email.
